Taming the Beast within

I'm on a diet.

No, I am not calling it a life change. No, I am not saying it's my new eating plan.

I'm hungry. I feel deprived. I'm mad at everyone who can eat.

It's a diet.

My Sugar Monster is rearing it's ugly head and it wants access to something yummy!

I've been searching for alternatives to the bad stuff, things that will give me actual nutrition, but also make me feel like I am having a treat.

Hello, Beautiful! Where have you been all my life?

I've never been one for desserty yogurts. I've always stuck to the fruit ones. I love peach, blueberry, cherry, pineapple. The Pina Colada flavor is about as wild as I have gotten.

But the Sugar Monster put me in search of other alternatives and I came across the Pineapple Upside-Down Cake Yogurt from Yoplait. It's 110 fat-free calories of delicious.

And it's helping me get through another day of my new lifestyle, eating plan, nutrition and energy focused DIET!

Next time I'm going to try some of the chocolate ones and see if I can get this monster off my back!

Why not get yourself a box of granulated Splenda?

I bought one when I was in the caribbean (they're not available in Holland) and I use it in anything I would have put sugar in.. it really does taste the same.. with zero calories ;)

greetings from the netherlands!

Hi, Linda! I'm glad you stopped by my blog because I enjoy visiting yours!

I guess I do need to get some Splenda. It's very expensive and most of the time I would prefer to just bake using sugar and limit my portion.

I might have to try it, though, as I continue dieting!

Start with a small bag of the Splenda. I admit is tastes good but it gives my husband a very upset stomach. I thought he was faking me so I used it without telling him and it is the same every time! UGH!!!!

I do love those yogurts, though. They do tame the craving. I feel like I need nothing but yogurt after a weekend with the family. We ate out three meals a day this weekend. I'm still full.
